On Wednesday bloggers, journalist, moms, and some lucky Twitter fans got fancy to meet the "Momager" of the Kardashian clan, Kris Jenner, at The Darby for the release of her memoirs Kris Jenner...And all Things Kardashian. The champagne and Mimosas flowed while the appetizers kept everyone in a festive mood (and quickly added The Darby as a must visit restaurant on my list). While we waited for Kris, we were treated to manicures hosted by Nicole by OPI using the shades from their new Kardashian line, that all reminded me of the holidays and New Years Eve (think glitter and sparkling color).
Bloggers at the Mani-Bar and the color I'm rockin' 'Follow Me on Glitter'
In true Jenner/Kardashian fashion we waited as Mrs. Jenner walked the runway, sponsored by Martini and then she joined us for a quick Q&A. Of course, the question on everyone's minds was "Is she going to talk about THE divorce?". Thankfully none of the questions were about her daughter's marriage problems (sorry for those who were waiting for it) but real working-mother/business woman concerns.
The one answer that seemed like a quick jab for anyone who thought of questioning how fast Kim's relationship went from dating to marriage was her response to a question about her own marriage, to which she revealed she knew her current husband Bruce Jenner 5 months before they got married and "here were are 20 years later". Kris really is one of those gushing moms (it was actually her dream to have 6 kids, OMG!!), when asked about how her son Robert dealt with growing up in a house filled with women she quickly responded with "My son? The one who can dance?" (Rob is currently doing really well on Dancing with the Stars). She's also VERY brand savvy in every question she was asked, Kris was able to plug one of the million things her family has going, like her new clothing line on QVC, but without being obnoxious or overbearing. She's also a very proud grandma who values her "Mason time" which she told us is actually scheduled time split between her Khloe and Kim so that he doesn't get too "man-handled". Oh, and the one gadget that this busy Momager cannot live without? Her blackberry!
After the Q&A session we all got copies of her book to sign and truly, not trying to sound like a cray fan or anything, this is a very warm woman. Her smile was genuine and she was very personable, even while her sexy bodyguards did their best to keep the crowd moving. Just reading the first few pages on the cab ride back to Brooklyn you get a glimpse into who this power tower is, flaws and all.

You NY bloggers get the best stuff. She is truly a business woman. I know she gets a bad rap, but she must be doing something right. Looking at the empire she is building and no one really knows how except of Kim's sex tape. To turn that into what they have now is short of amazing.
You know I have to ask. How was the polish!
I think Kris is a smart lady! She really is setting up her kids for life, at least financially! So happy you are back! Get it gurl!
I agree - you NY bloggers get the best stuff. Kris is pretty fab, I have to say.
I wish I was there! I would have gave her some GREAT questions lol
