On the Road to 2!

I cannot believe we're already here at 18 months!! This post is a little late but on the day I couldn't help but think back to our first few weeks together and even though I was dog tired, I can't think back to a memory and not smile.

I remember worrying that I wasn't going to know what to do if anything ever happened, I had NO baby practice and here I was with this newborn all by myself (the Mr was in school at the time). But we got through it both pretty happy, my return to work was probably THE hardest night to date for me and I rushed home everyday just to see him, but we made it...

I watched all his new major milestones and coached him through all his new hurdles, like walking, and talking, and dancing but he's mastered it all! And here we are, still going...

Major holidays are an even BIGGER deal because he's here, and his 1st year was so special for everyone around him. Subways, museums, restaurants, and playgrounds is an everyday life for my guy, and watching him become an NYC toddler has been then best year of my life!

 Don't know if we'll have another party for your 2nd birthday just yet but I just wanted to tell you again how very special and important you are to me, Chunks. My Leo baby. Some of your dramatics drive me crazy but you already know how to charm mom like no one else. Your laugh is contagious, even when you're sleeping and when you cry (a real cry) my world stands still until you're ok. I never thought I would ever be this kind of mushy, kiss you too much, stare at you forever person but I have and wouldn't change a BIT of it. I love you prince and I can't wait to see the big boy you'll become.
